  • Chris Blake, President

    Chris has worked for over 30 years as a custom builder, designer, and developer and has extensive experience remodeling old homes to work for today’s families. Due to his lifelong love of architecture and keen eye for detail, Chris is genuinely passionate about architecture and design. Since he is an accountant by training, Chris excels at estimating and managing costs so that the customer doesn’t get any unwelcome surprises. He works closely with each client to identify and deliver exactly what they want, on time, and within budget. Chris is a graduate of Georgetown University and serves on the Beaumont Health board of directors.

  • Heidi Hirons, CKBD, Designer & Director of Sales Operations

    Heidi completed her degree in Interior Design at Eastern Michigan University. She joined Mutschler Kitchens in 2004. Since then, she has enjoyed working with clients to create beautiful, functional spaces in their homes. One of Heidi’s favorite parts of the job is integrating the technical and aesthetic details of every job. She is a National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) certified Kitchen & Bath designer. In recent years, Heidi has held leadership positions on the board of the Michigan chapter of the NKBA.

  • Tim Scott, Director of Construction

    Tim manages the construction process from the very beginning to the last sweep of the floor. He ensures that every job we do is completed as efficiently as possible and works hard to keep the customer up to date on scheduling. Tim has outstanding problem solving skills, a genial demeanor, and a tireless work ethic. With a B.F.A. in Architectural Design and Planning and 10 years in commercial and industrial construction, his education and experience bring tremendous expertise to the team. Tim has been with The Blake Company/Mutschler Kitchens since 2013.

  • Sarah Blake Bova, Designer

    Sarah brings her lifelong love of design to every aspect of her job. She has a wide range of duties including working with clients to develop their ideas into beautiful and functional spaces. She is also responsible for ordering materials, tracking, and scheduling delivery of every item needed on the jobs. Sarah joined the company in 2018. She is a graduate of Loyola University of Chicago and the University of Notre Dame.

  • Kate Messacar, Sales & Design Assistant

    Kate specializes in helping the designers and clients with selections, pricing, and design. She has an impeccable eye for design and an intuition about design trends in the future. Kate is a graduate of the University of Dayton. She joined the company in 2016.

  • Maureen Block, Administration

    Maureen handles the accounting and human resource functions, along with all of the countless miscellaneous duties that keep the business in motion. She has worked with the Blake Company since 2004. Maureen has thirty years of experience in all aspects of business administration.

  • Mary Carron, Property Manager

    Mary manages all of the Blake Company’s rental properties. Mary is responsible for advertising vacant properties, meeting potential tenants, collecting rent, and reporting on the properties’ financial status and occupancy rates. Mary brings grace, good humor, and outstanding people skills to her job every day. She is a graduate of Central Michigan University. Mary joined the company in 2005.

  • Oscar Livingston, Chief of Maintenance

    Oscar joined the Blake Company in 2007. He is responsible for performing routine maintenance on all facilities and monitoring the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas. Oscar charms everyone he meets with his skill, efficiency, and impressive Caribbean accent.

  • Keri Scaife, CAD Designer

    Keri takes the designs and ideas that are developed by the designers and customers and turns them into Computer Aided Design (CAD) drawings. Since small details, if overlooked, can become big problems later, Keri is very detail oriented and makes sure that the designs will actually work in the space. She has been working with the Blake Company/Mutschler Kitchens since 2013.

  • Scott Evanko, Lead Carpenter

    When it’s time for your new kitchen or bathroom cabinets to be installed, you will meet Scott, our carpenter extraordinaire. His biggest weakness is that we cannot get him to stop working! Scott has been a key part of the Blake Company/Mutschler Kitchens team since 2005.

  • Nathan Lonczynski, Assistant Superintendent

    Nathan joined The Blake Company/Mutschler Kitchens in 2019. He is a fast learner and a hard worker and has quickly become an integral part of the team.

  • Mike Peterson, Construction Assistant

    Mike is the most recent addition to our team. He brings a great attitude and work ethic to every job. Mike joined the company after serving in the Marines. We are extremely grateful for his service to our country.
